Licensed Nursing Staff

Chimney Rock Villa accepts both short-term and long-term admissions and can meet a wide variety of medical needs for residents aged 18 and older.  We have a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) on duty 24 hours per day to provide skilled or intermediate nursing cares for residents, including medication assistance, wound care, laboratory draws, tube feeds, insulin management other skilled nursing services.  In addition to licensed nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Medication Aides help provide assistance in activities of daily living, which include dressing, eating, bathing and mobility.  

 

Therapy Services

Chimney Rock Villa provides onsite occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy services provided by licensed therapists.  These services are available at an additional cost to any short term or long term care resident and focus on providing strengthening, balance training, modalities for pain control, wheelchair positioning, prosthetic training, and fine motor skills training, just to name a few.

 

Hospice Services

On-site hospice services are available.  Chimney Rock Villa contracts with a local hospice provider to provide hospices services to residents needing end of life care.

Activities Programs

Activities are scheduled 7 days per week.  The activity department offers a variety of activities designed to meet the individual interests of each resident.  Activities include arts and crafts, bible study, bingo, exercise classes, resident council, birthday parties, van rides, musical performances, games, and other social events.

 

Friends and families are encouraged to join the resident for any activity.  Volunteers are also greatly appreciated in assisting with activities!

 

Dietary Services

Chimney Rock Villa can accommodate a wide variety of dietary needs.  A registered dietitian helps develop the menu and oversees that the nutritional needs of each resident are met and follow the guidelines prescribed by the resident’s physician.  

 

Chimney Rock Villa prides itself in providing a wide variety of meals, including many ethnic favorites.  Residents are encouraged to offer meal ideas and alternate meals options are always available for residents who desire something other than the daily featured menu items.  In addition, snacks are available throughout the day.

 

Families and friends are encouraged to join the resident for meals.  Residents who entertain guests for meals can either dine in the main dining room or in an alternate, more private location.  Guest meals are available for a nominal fee. 

 

Social Services

Chimney Rock Villa has a Social Services Director who is responsible for assisting the resident with the admission process, discharge planning or assistance with any other personal needs.

 

Beauty and Barber Shop Services

Weekly beauty and barber shop services are available on-site for an additional cost.

 

Laundry/Linen and Housekeeping Services

Housekeeping services are performed daily.  Laundry services for bedding, resident clothing and other linens are provided regularly at no additional cost.

 

Cable and Internet Services

Cable service is provided at no additional cost.  Wi-fi is available in the commons area and two community computers with internet access are available for resident use.

 

Transportation Services

Transportation is available to physician’s offices and to other healthcare providers at no extra charge.  Scheduled transportation is also available for monthly shopping visits as well as for scheduled entertainment activities.

 

Personal transportation services can be scheduled at an extra charge.

Rooms and Facility Environment

Both private and semi-private rooms are available.  There is an additional charge for private rooms and are available on a first come, first service basis.  Each resident room has a private bathroom, a shared closet, and come furnished with an electric bed, dresser, and nightstand.

 

All rooms have television hook-ups and cable television.  Free wi-fi service is available in the commons area.

 

Chimney Rock Villa has several living areas/common areas for residents to gather and enjoy each other’s company.  

 

Chimney Rock Villa has an Activity Room where residents can gather to work on crafts or participate in other regularly scheduled activities.

 

Residents are encouraged to bring items from home which will make their room more comfortable and individualized.  Because room sizes are limited, residents are discouraged from bringing in additional large pieces of furniture other than a small recliner or other small pieces which will not crowd the room.  Residents may bring in personal photos, wall hangings or other personal items.  Residents may bring in televisions, radios or other electronic items for their own entertainment.

Payment

Payments accepted at Chimney Rock Villa include Medicare (when a resident meets eligibility requirements established by Medicare), Medicaid, and private pay.  Contact the business office for more information regarding specific payment questions.
